4th of July
For the 4th of July my parents got some rooms at "The Cliff"..and all these years, Cliff thought he was "The Cliff". How disappointing the truth was for him. We spent a few very fun days with my Parents, Katie, Jeff, Payton, Jay, & Chase. We hiked, made a float for the parade, create dams in the streams, swam, throw rocks, hiked and swam some more. Every year this time of year we like to ride the tram up and hike down, sliding on the left over snow patches. It was fun as always.
Lake Powell
We have now found out.. If you continue to go to Lake Powell eventually you will get one of those horror stories. This was our 2nd horror story. God watched over us, and thankfully nobody got hurt. Thursday morning after a full day of really bad wind we decided it was time to get the house boat in and make a run for it. My awesome husband who thinks he can do anything, I guess he can. He took the boat off the shore, and on the way... Meantime, the rock above he almost wrapped the boat around, with a lot of help from the strong wind, and then we almost took out all the engines on the opposite shore. Those watching will not forget anytime soon.
Bode loved playing with his cousins on the back of the "Boat House"..
With that incident with the house boat in the morning. All of our luck was gone. We went out for the last ski of the day and hit a rock about 12 to 16 inches under, going 29 miles an hour. Bode describes the incident as "BOOM, STOP." It was not pretty, and Ranger Rick thought we had not had enough for the day with pulling us over as soon as we got the boat out of the water..AHH! But the miracle is Bode was not sitting with his cousin in the front of the boat, with Chase like he had been all week. He would of been thrown forward and we would've run over him.. Thank You God!
