Ford Passing

Last week one of my dearest friends and cousins dad passed away. 11 years ago Ford Reeder was told diagnosed with Colon Cancer and was told he had 6 months to live. 11 years later he passed. Many of you probably noticed a few weeks back a post about Reeder getting married. Well, 11 years ago Ford was given a blessing that he would live to see his children raised. Well apparently Reeder getting married was the fulfillment of this blessing. How sad to have your Uncle, or Dad or Friend or anyone, pass away. We love you Ford. Reeder, I love you and am here for you! Mom I am so sorry about your brother, what a blessing that we believe in life after death.

Friends...

"Bode who is your best friend", we asked him yesterday? "Is it chase, Jakob, Emmy, Seth?"
"No, silly it is my brother Ryder."
We rearranged the bedrooms yesterday, and Ryder has a bed in Bode's room. He cannot wait for him to sleep in it.

Halloween

Bode could not decide what he wanted to be this year. Everyday of the week it was something different. Cow, Dragon, Tigger, Lion... Trick or Treating was fun. We tired to push ryder in the stroller, but Ryder, knew what was going on, he would wiggle out of the stroller, and run to each door. If he was a little slow, Bode would say" I need a treat for my brother." then he would bring it back and give it to him. It is fun to see him look after his little brother.

1st Snow of the Year..

"Mom, Look, Hurray, I am so excited" It was 7:00 in the morning and Bode had been out of bed for maybe two minutes. I came running down the stairs and he opens the front door. " Want to play with me in it mommy? Shall we." At that moment I could not think of anything better. One of my favoites things and my son was excited about it as I was. A few minutes later, he asked if we could go skiing. A boy with from my own heart! Yes son lets go. By 9 we had no snow left at our house and had moved to the neighbors. Precious memories!

Round Up.. Tyghee

We went to Star Valley to help round up the cows. Bode rode a horse the entire way. 7 hours on a horse. We rode over to tyghee, with the adults. When we got their he was getting a little antsy. But then we found the cows and the other kids.. He was no longer tired. Grandpa said he is the youngest kid to make the entire trip. 2 years old, and you will have to pry him from his horse. How fun it was to see the kids watch the animals and interact with the grandparents.

Hiking.. Fall Leaves

I couple of times a week Granny Kathryn calls us and takes a hiking. If we get real lucky, Heidi and Emmy will come with us. We cannot go without granny, we need somebody to carry Ryder. Granny is happy to have the job, she even fells like it is a privilege. Right now is the prettiest time of year. The leaves are so perfect. Today, we even got to catch a leaf falling off the tree and make a wish. Bode is getting to be such a good hiker. He plays race car. When he is about to run fast he stops, kicks his leg backwards, and then takes off forward, with the sound of a rocket, like his bike.. It is so cute! Now Ryder even wants to hike for a few minutes. But most of all we cherish the time and the memories. Happy Birthday today Emmy! We are so lucky to have you as a friend!

Stars..

Last night Bode and I were driving in the car and he asked. "Mom, I want to touch a star."
"But, Bode they are to far away, we cannot get up their."
Bode, "We could fly like the dragons... Please mom."

Reeder Gets Married

Reeder got married.. I know a miracle. Heidi, Katie, Keri, Mom, Dad and Whit all went to the wedding.. That does not leave a sitter. So we hired the neighbor. She came over all day 7 kids.. She said it was out of control. The kids loved it and asked if they could stay another day. We would love to have them another day, but I think they want the sitter along with it, and I am not sure I can talk her into it again.

Motorcycle

Bode loves going for a ride with his Dad!

Boating Late in the year....

We were in the store yesterday, and a friend asked Bode if he skiied? No, he says, I knee board with Emmy... September and October was a great time on the lake. Everybody else has put the boat away thinking it is to cold.. Not us. The last two weeks, Seth and Emmy have showed up at the lake without preplanning and played with us! We know where to find the fun!

I'll bet that was a bad ski... Look at that horrible water with all those boats..

Bode.. School

Bode asked for a new backpack when we went to the store. So I got him one. He came home with a mission. He came in the office put his coloring binder in it from Grandma, put his crayons, and markers in it. Then he put it on, went and got on his bike and rode to school...

This was very cute to watch. I knew what was going on, but did not get it stopped till he was on the busy road half way to school. He was very sad that he did not get to go to school.
