WOW!

Two days ago I need to go to the grocery store. It had been snowing all day, and I was in a hurry. I put Bode in his coat and hat, opened the door for him and told him to get in the car. I then proceeded to work on Ryder, get him ready. Meantime, outside the snow had started to accumulated maybe 2 or 3 inches on the lawn and none on the driveway.
I loaded Ryder into the car, and walked around the back of the car and started to call for Bode to load him. Bode was standing at the edge of the lawn looking down at a single foot print he had made in the snow. With innocent little eyes, he turns to me, puts his arms up as if he was looking for his bottle and could not find it, looks me in the eye and says.. "WOW!!"
We never made it to the store. If my son is excited about snow, you better believe I am going to enjoy it with him. For the next two hours, Bode and I rolled in it, threw it, ran in it, enjoyed it as much as possible and made a snow man. When we were done, we no longer had snow in the front yard.
After returning in to the house hours later, Bode walked to the back window, and yelled, MAMA.. pointing at the snow, as if to say, "Look mom it is in the backyard too!"
My thoughts exactly son... "WOW" - And to think, the fun in the snow has just begun for BODE!

Ryder Robert Linford

Ryder was born 9/5/09. He is 9 lbs 3 ounces, 22 inches long. He is going to be our linebacker, and according to Cliff.. he did not get a neck. We are so happy to have him in our family and feel so blessed to have two healthy boys.
These pictures are a courtesy of Heather Linford, check our her photography site. http://heatherlinfordphotography.blogspot.com/

Both Ryder and Keri are happy and healthy.

Toilet & Magazine

So yesterday, Cliff couldn't find Bode... Well here he was. If you think he is not picking up things you do, you are wrong. He was sitting on the toliet (which I am sure was an accomplishment all by itself) with Cliff's sport magazine, pointing to the balls, sayings his only word "ball" over and over again. Like father like son....

Bode Skied 11 Months

I felt it was important that if my son walked before he was 1, that he would ski as well. He worked hard and learned to walk, and I promised him if he did I would teach him to ski. So last weekend we went up to Alta, and he did awesome!! I can tell we have some real potential here. He did better than Cliff expected. The bummer part is the camera died on the lift. So we will go again next week and get some photos of the little guy's good form!!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we went to Wyoming... I was great to see the fam, and hang out. Always my favorite part is looking for a Christmas tree. Cliff thinks I like the hike the most, we always seem to be the last to find a tree, the farthest away. I really don't care about the tree, just wandering in the woods with family seems fun!!

Costa Rica

Last week Cliff & I had the opportunity to visit Jaco, Costa Rica for a week. Granny Kathryn and Grandpa Val took the Bodster. They are the best... thanks for doing that Mom & Dad!!!

Keri thought the trip would be a great break from being a full time accountant and a full time mom. By about day three she just wanted to be a full time mom again. It is amazing how kids change your life. She even looked into coming home a day early. Bode ended up going to St. George with is grandparents and did not get home until after we did. I thought Keri was going to drive down to meet them halfway. It was like waiting for Christmas when you were a kid, waiting for our little boy to get home. We love you Bode and can't wait until you are old enough to enjoy a trip like this.

The is the zip line tour... awesome very fun, especially compared to the Park City zip line...

We also surfed everyday, or at least tried to. We took a lesson the first day which helped a lot and spent the rest of the week practicing. We could only surf for about two hours until our arms couldn't paddle fast enough to catch a wave anymore.
The Scenery was gorgeous, Always every way you looked.

This is Cliff seeing if he should have been Tarzan for a living instead of a Civil Engineer... yip should have been a Engineer not Tarzan. Cliff thinks it is funner to be Tarzan and the skill could be learned.

Cliff at a small waterfall at Manual Antonio Park
Same Waterfall

Look closely you will see me in the bottom of this picture sitting on a gigantic rock by a huge waterfall west of Jaco.

Hiking in Manual Antonio Park

Trying to cool off unfortuantely the water is not very cold.

Swim at the beach not in the rivers.

Little fella

Iguanas are everywhere.

We saw monkey's almost everyday!!

If you notice some of the beaches are white sand, while others are black....

As you can see the beaches were always packed. Just like Cliff likes it.
